Wow! I wish I could shop there on a regular basis. Beautiful pictures of a place that knows how to merchandise their wares.

Look at the vibrant colours of those beans! Must be very beautiful to keep them in a tall glass jar as a home decoration!

I especially love the pictures of all those brilliantly colored heirloom beans...it's a shame the colors dull out once they are cooked, but the flavor of Rancho Gordo's finest more than makes up for that.

I LOVED the picture of the beans. It would make a terrific jigsaw puzzle.

Wonderful photos! Love those colorful beans. Looks like an incredible shop.

Yum! Wished we checked this place out when we were in Napa...Great pics! When are you leaving for your trip?

No words are needed for this one! The beans are gorgeous!

...those beans... there are some good NY-grown beans, but nothing like that variety. Wah.

We did not get a chance to visit Portobello unfortunately. There are so many things to eat and see in London, it feels like we only scratched the surface of cask ales, British cuisine, and markets. Speaking of markets, Fatted Calf has some incredible meat from the looks of things. Napa Valley is definitely still on the list of places to see and myriads to eat and cook while there.

Let me just say those are some of the best pictures of meat I've ever seen--and that isn't the easiest to do! Bravo! I also heart the image of the beans, so full of texture and color, love it!

I have an incredible FEAR of photographing raw meat, but YOUR photos seriously make me want to jump through the computer screen and eat some meat! I'm salivating as I write this! Gorgeous photos, as always. Thanks for sharing....

Oooh, the jerky! It's the only kind I'll eat. Makes you forget all those nightmares of 7-Eleven jerky that breaks your teeth. ;)

Cathy said...

Wow, would I ever love to shop in that charcuterie! Your photos are fantastic.

John Dryzga said...

This place just got added to the Napa to do list! Why can't August be sooner?

These pictures are a feast for the eyes. The terrines remind me of the recent WSJ article about chefs carrying charcuterie into the US from Europe thru airport security.
